Charles Barry's magnificent palazzo on Pall Mall. Specialist decorative and gilding work carried out within the Reform Club's grand interiors, maintaining the integrity of this Victorian landmark.
How We Work
Every heritage project begins with thorough research into the building's history, original materials and decorative schemes — working with conservation officers, historians and archive records where required.
Specialist paint removal from cornicing, fibrous enrichments and ornate joinery using traditional methods and appropriate materials — never at the expense of the historic fabric beneath.
We use the same materials and techniques that would have been used when the building was first decorated — rabbit-skin glue size, gesso grounds, loose-leaf gold, oil mordants and traditional pigments.
Stefan manages every heritage commission personally from initial survey through to final sign-off, ensuring continuity of knowledge and an unbroken chain of responsibility throughout the project.
